ZJ Detailing dba ZJ Security Film Solutions — Terms & Conditions

1. All Sales Final

All sales are final. We enforce a strict no-refund policy. Once a purchase is made, it is non-refundable under any circumstance.

2. Payment Terms

Deposit Requirement: A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to schedule any project. The remaining 50% is due immediately upon completion.

Commercial Accounts: Net 15 or Net 30 payment terms may be requested, subject to approval. Larger projects may require a higher deposit.

3. Late Payments

Commercial Accounts: Invoices over 30 days past due will incur a 5% monthly late fee based on the total balance.

Residential Accounts: Payments overdue by more than 10 business days will also incur a 5% monthly late fee.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Appointment changes must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled date.

Cancellations or modifications made with less than 72 hours’ notice, including on-site changes, are subject to:

  • A 25% restocking fee
  • Reimbursement of all incurred costs, including travel, materials, or subcontractor time
  • If travel has already occurred, the client is responsible for all travel-related expenses, including lodging, airfare, fuel, and rentals.

5. Unpaid Invoices & Collections

Unpaid balances will accrue 2% interest monthly.
In the event of collections or legal action, the client will be responsible for all collection, legal, and court fees, as well as post-judgment interest allowed by law.

6. Trip Charges

If the site is not accessible, not ready, or if work is halted by the client or general contractor, a trip charge will apply:

  • $350 minimum, or
  • $120/hour per technician, whichever is greater
  • Travel-related expenses will also be billed if travel has already occurred, and a 25% restocking fee may apply.

7. Design Services

Design work is billed as follows:

  • Graphic Designer: $95/hour minimum charge of 2 hours. You’re allowed 2 free revisions, then $95 per revision.

8. Labor-Only Work

Labor-only jobs are billed at $120/hour per technician, including travel, prep, and on-site work.
ZJ Security Film Solutions assumes no liability for materials provided by the client or third parties. All risk lies with the customer.

9. Glass Scratches

We take all precautions during film removal or window prep. However, we are not liable for any scratches during these processes.
If scratches are identified or begin forming, we’ll notify the client immediately. Any modified cleaning or removal methods will be billed at $120/hour per technician plus materials.

10. Changes to Scope or Materials

Any requested changes must be submitted in writing and approved prior to execution.

If changes affect labor, materials, or time, additional charges will apply.

Work outside standard business hours (M–F, 8AM–5PM) will incur premium labor rates.

11. Warranty – Product & Installation

We offer a limited residential lifetime warranty on professionally installed film for the original property owner.

Warranty covers material and labor defects, and up to $500 per pane for thermal shock or seal failure.

All warranty claims must go through ZJ Security Film Solutions directly.

12. Glass Warranty Claims

To initiate a glass claim, contact your ZJ sales representative prior to any window replacement.
Unauthorized replacements void warranty coverage.

13. Installation Standards

All installations meet IWFA (International Window Film Association) standards.

Completed work should be inspected from a minimum of 6 feet away under natural daylight, not direct sunlight.

14. Dispute Resolution

All disputes will be handled through binding arbitration. Both parties waive the right to a trial by jury, except in matters involving unpaid invoices or collections.

15. Severability

If any part of this agreement is deemed invalid, all other sections remain legally enforceable.
